Zoe Bell, Women’s Soccer 2019
Zoe was a defender and a 2 year team captain with a 3.86 GPA. As a player I could not have asked for a better student athlete. Her maturity, and team first attitude made her one of the most memorable captains I’ve ever coached. In her freshmen year she led the colts to a 13-3-4 season, hosting and winning in the first round of playoffs for the first time since 2003. She was the Canada women’s soccer defensive MVP. As a sophomore in 2018 she led the team to a conference championship. As the backbone of the defense her leadership and incredible and skill was apparent in their 10-0-1 conference record. Most notably, her back line only allowed an impressive 2 goals against in the final 11 games of the season. At the conclusion of the 2018 season, Zoe was not only named the team MVP, but also Most Valuable Defensive player of the coast conference. Zoe attended the sophomore showcase and accepted a scholarship to play at Menlo College for fall 2019. Zoe is not only an exceptional student, consistently making the deans list, but also an exceptional leader and athlete representing Cañada College.
