SAN BRUNO – The Cañada College men's soccer team battled with Coast Conference North Division-leading Skyline College and came away with a 1-1 draw on Tuesday afternoon.
With a 5-2-3 division record, the Colts still hold slim chance at a Coast Conference championship. They currently trail Skyline at 7-1-2 and Hartnell College at 6-2-2 with three games left to play in the regular season.
On Tuesday, Vlad Tomutiu scored in the 15th minute off the assist from Leimana Makasini to give the Colts the 1-0 lead. Skyline got the equalizer in the 40th minute and neither team was able to find the back of the net in the second half.
Luis Evangelista posted 4 saves in goal for Cañada to earn the tie.
Cañada is unbeaten over its last three games after picking up wins over City College of San Francisco (1-0) and De Anza College (2-1) last week.
The Colts are back in action on Friday (Nov. 8) when they travel to Las Positas College for a 6:30 p.m. Coast Conference game.
