Colts take down Ohlone, 6-1

REDWOOD CITY – The Cañada College women's tennis team earned its second victory of the season thanks to a 6-1 Coast Conference win over visiting Ohlone College on Friday.

Both wins have come against the Renegades. Cañada improved to 2-5 overall and in conference action.

The Colts opened Friday's match by taking both doubles matches. No. 1 duo of Kathy Kau and Tara Jekat as well as No. 2 Hong Tian and Kiki Chou both won by scores of 8-0.

In singles, Cañada won four of five matches. Kau (No. 1) Jekat (No. 2), Tian (No. 4), and Anahid Yeremian (No. 5) were all victorious.

Up next, the Colts will look to keep the momentum going on Tuesday (Mar. 18) when they host Foothill College in a Coast Conference match.
