REDWOOD CITY – Rosa Churape scored twice while goalkeeper Cassandra Hererra totaled 7 saves to help lead the Cañada College women's soccer team to a 2-0 non-conference win over visiting Evergreen Valley College on Friday.
Churape notched her first goals of the season in the 23rd and 61st minutes to account for all the scoring in the contest.
Hererra was solid in posting the Colts' second shutout of the season.
Cañada improved to 2-1-1 overall. The Colts are back in action on Tuesday (Sep. 10) when they travel to American River College for a non-conference game.
