REDWOOD CITY – Let the celebration begin for the Cañada College women's soccer team.
A 6-1 Colts' victory at home on Thursday over De Anza College followed by a 2-1 loss by second-place Evergreen Valley College at Skyline College on Friday secured an outright Coast Conference South Division championship for Cañada.
The Colts closed out the regular season with an 8-4-0 record in Coast Conference play while Evergreen Valley was right behind in second at 7-4-1.
Cañada, now 14-6-1 overall, can turn its sights towards the Northern California Regional Playoffs. Postseason matchups will be announced on Monday (Nov. 13) with first-round games getting underway on Wednesday, Nov. 15.
