REDWOOD CITY – Sophomore Rachel Mull provided all the offense the Cañada College women's soccer team would need as her goal in the 40th minute was the difference in the Colts' 1-0 season-opening victory at home against American River College on Tuesday.
Goalkeeper Jianna Nabung earned the shutout for Cañada after posting 6 saves.
The Colts are off to a good start in 2023 as they look to improve on last year's 15-5 overall record and second-place finish in the Coast Conference North Division standings. Cañada advanced to the second round of the Northern California Regional Playoffs.
Cañada returns to action on Friday (Sep. 1) when they it travels to Santa Rosa Junior College for a non-conference game.
