Bio

Coach Erik Gaspar has been leading the Cañada College Colts as Head Coach since 2011. Under his guidance, the Colts have consistently been competitive, making the postseason in five out of seven years. The 2019 season was particularly notable, with the team achieving a top-five ranking in the Northern California Region and being ranked 19th nationally by the United Soccer Coaches Association. That year, the Colts posted an impressive 14-7-1 record overall and an 8-4 mark in Coast Conference play.

Coach Gaspar brings extensive experience to his role, having previously led two successful high school soccer programs and accumulated valuable club soccer experience throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. He holds a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology with a focus on Team and Sport Management from Saint Mary’s College of California and possesses a US Soccer Federation “D” license. Before becoming the Head Men’s Soccer Coach at Cañada College at just 24 years old, he served as an assistant coach under Joe Silveira at Evergreen Valley College in San Jose.

Coach Gaspar lives in San Jose with his wife, Tamra, and their daughters, Dani and Stevie.
