NORTHERN CALIFORNIA PLAYOFFS BRACKET
The road to a state championship begins on Saturday for the Cañada College men's soccer team.
The Colts return to the postseason for the third straight season after they were named the No. 5 seed for the upcoming Northern California Regional Playoffs. As a top-8 seed, Cañada received an opening-round bye and will host No. 12 City College of San Francisco in a second-round game in Redwood City on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 2 p.m.

Cañada enters the postseason with a 12-3-6 overall record. Under head coach Erik Gaspar, the Colts finished second in the Coast Conference North Division with an 8-2-3 mark.
Coast Conference North Division foes CCSF and No. 21 Cabrillo faced off on in an opening-round game on Wednesday for the right to advance. The Rams got a goal in the 84th minute and held on for the 1-0 win. CCSF is 13-6-1 overall and was fourth in the Coast North at 7-5-1.
Earlier this season, the Colts edged San Francisco 1-0 in Redwood City on Oct. 29.
Three wins are needed by the Colts to advance to the 3C2A State Championships on Dec. 6 & 8 at American River College in Sacramento.
