LOS ALTOS HILLS – The Cañada College men's soccer team will now focus on the postseason following a 1-1 draw at Foothill College on Friday in its 2023 regular-season finale.
Elon Crawford's late goal in the 75th minute off the assist from Kiichi Murakami and Tyler Ho was the equalizer for the Colts. Kosuke Kaneko totaled 4 saves in goal to keep Cañada within striking distance.
With the tie, Cañada finished in fifth place in the final Coast Conference South Division standings with a 6-5-2 record. They'll now head to the postseason with a 10-7-3 mark. Thanks to a strong schedule, the Colts are currently ranked No. 10 among Northern California teams in power points and should receive an at-large bid into the regional playoffs that get underway next week.
Playoff matchups will be announced on Tuesday (Nov. 14).
