Colts Men's Soccer (10-10-1) fell 2-0 at No. 5-seeded Merced in the second round of the CCCAA Playoffs. Cañada was the No. 21-seed.
The Blue Devils scored in the 51st minute to go up 1-0 and then put the game out of reach in extra time, between the clock showing 90 minutes and before the horn sounded, as the Colts pushed forward to try to tie it and allowed Merced to score an easy one to make it 2-0.
The Colts ended the season playing in their fourth CCCAA Playoffs in five years for Coach Erik Gaspar. Kosuke Kaneko was named the Coast Conference's South Division Goalkeeper of the Year and Kiichi Murakami was named the South Division's Forward of the Year. Tomislav Jozinovic has already committed to transferring to Biola next season with more to follow.
