REDWOOD CITY – It was a tough two-game stretch for the Cañada College men's basketball as the Colts faced some of the state's top competition. Despite battling, Cañada suffered a narrow 63-60 loss to No. 22 state-ranked Ohlone College and an 86-54 setback at No. 10 City College of San Francisco.
On Friday, Brylan Lundy led the Colts with 14 points against the Renegades. Josiah Morris provided a spark off the bench with 13 points, and Luca Joe Ewelt had a game-high 11 rebounds while being held to just 3 points.
Daniel Benjamin had a solid all-around game with 8 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals.
Cañada had a tough time keeping pace with the Rams on Wednesday. The Colts trailed 47-25 at halftime and couldn't get back into the game.
Morris led Cañada with 9 points against CCSF.
Cañada is now 10-12 overall and 1-5 in the Coast Conference North Division. Up next, the Colts travel to No. 4 state-ranked Chabot College on Friday (Feb. 2) for a 6 p.m. Coast North game.
