MODESTO – Luca Joe Ewelt posted a double-double with 18 points and 14 rebounds while Sean Crowley contributed 15 points and 7 rebounds off the bench to help lead the Cañada College men's basketball team to a narrow 69-67 victory at Modesto Junior College on Tuesday.
The Colts won their fourth straight, including their third consecutive on the road, to improve to 5-1 overall this season.
Cañada overcame a 38-33 halftime deficit to pull out the victory. The Colts turned the table, outscoring Modesto 36-29 during the final 20 minutes of play.
Luke Mathiesen chipped in with 8 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists while Daylen Fleming had 6 points and 8 boards. Brylan Lundy scored 7 points and Miles Jones had 8.
Cañada is back in action on Nov. 29 when the Colts travel to Solano College for a 5 p.m. non-conference game.
