Avila named Nor Cal Player of the Week

Cañada College sophomore John Paul Avila was named the Northern California Player of the Week by the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association (CCCBCA) for his outstanding play during Feb. 19-25.

Player: John Paul Avila- Cañada- Hits 7/13= .538, 4 R, 1 2B, 2 HR, 9 RBI, 14 TB, 1.077 SLG%, 3 BB, 1 HBP

The sophomore outfielder had an outstanding week in his team's four games this week. He homered in two games on the week, driving in nine runs in the process. He accrued 14 total bases and had a .647 on base percentage. This is his first Nor Cal player of the week honor of the year.
