Colts Move On in CCCAA Regionals

Colts Baseball (24-18-1) will play another weekend after winning the best-of-three CCCAA Regionals at Merced. The Colts fell 5-3 in 12 innings in the Saturday opener, before defeating the Blue Devils 8-3 in the rubber game. The Colts won the opener on Friday, 2-1 in 11 innings.
The Colts led 3-0 heading into the ninth inning of Saturday's first game, before Merced scored three runs in the ninth to send the game into extra innings.
The three-team, double elimination Super Regional will feature No. 1-North seeded Santa Rosa (30-10), No. 12-seeded Reedley (29-12-1) and No. 16-seed Cañada.
The Colts will play Reedley on May 11 at 11 a.m. with Santa Rosa playing the loser of that game.
