Colts get No. 11 seed for NorCal playoffs, travel to No. 6 Folsom Lake
NORTHERN CALIFORNIA PLAYOFFS BRACKET
The Cañada College women's soccer team is headed back to the postseason for the second straight season. After capturing the 2023 Coast Conference South Division championship, the Colts were named the No. 11 seed for the upcoming Northern California Regional Playoffs.
Cañada is set to travel to No. 6-seed Folsom Lake College for a first-round game in Folsom on Saturday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m.
Ticket prices for the California Community College Athletic Association (3C2A) postseason game are $12 for general admission and $8 for all identified students, faculty, staff, senior citizens age 60 and over, and children under 12 years old. Under head coach Katie Perkins, the Colts were champions of the Coast Conference North Division with an 8-4-0 record. It was Cañada first conference title since 2018. The Colts bring a 14-6-1 overall mark into the postseason.
Folsom Lake wrapped up the regular season with a 13-3-3 overall record. The Falcons finished in third place in the Big 8 Conference with a 6-3-2 mark.
Cañada and Folsom Lake will be meeting for the first time this season. The winner of Saturday's contest will take on either No. 3 Fresno City College or No. 14 Reedley College in a second-round game on Tuesday (Nov. 21).
Three wins are needed by the Colts to advance to the 3C2A State Championships on Dec. 1 & 3 at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut.
